Onkwehonwe Peach Pit Games & Shrub Teachings

Join us to work with the plants that sustain us. We will be learning the Onkwehonwe (original peoples) peach pit game, and sharing more plant teachings. We will also be seeing bean seeds to take home and grow for the season.

This program is led by Donna Powless, Cayuga (Six Nations), Director of the Taiaiako’n Historical Preservation Society, her family, and Catherine Tàmmaro, utrihǫt ~ waⁿdat ažaˀtúˀtęˀ (Faith Keeper), Wyandot of Anderdon Nation.

As we are together, Donna and Catherine will share cultural stories about the plants we're working with.

Funding for this program has been provided by the City of Toronto’s Indigenous Climate Action program.
