Painting Butterflies

  • Allan Gardens Children's Conservatory 160 Gerrard Street East Toronto, ON, M5A 2E5 Canada (map)

This year, during Pollinator week, we’d like to invite families to come to Allan Gardens to paint butterflies!

Butterflies will be cut-out of plywood, and, once painted, will be fixed onto the fence around the Edible Garden and Children’s Conservatory. We will provide the butterflies and the painting supplies. Children of all ages are welcome. Parental/caregiver supervision is required.

This event is PWYC. A $5 suggested donation per child is appreciated.

Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. Paint is non-toxic.

Activities will take place in the Children's Conservatory on the Jarvis/Carlton side of the park.

This program will be co-led by Matt Canaran of the Friends of Allan Gardens, and by Rina Fraticelli and Jessica Griffith of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Office of Social Innovation. The program will be run by our wonderful team of FOAG volunteers.
