Join us to work with the plants that sustain us. We will be making traditional Haudinausaunee Corn Husk Dolls, and contemporary dream pillows using locally important medicines (herbs).
This program is led by Donna Powless, Cayuga (Six Nations), Director of the Taiaiako’n Historical Preservation Society, her family, and Catherine Tàmmaro, utrihǫt ~ waⁿdat ažaˀtúˀtęˀ (Faith Keeper), Wyandot of Anderdon Nation.
As we are working away, Donna and Catherine will share cultural stories about the plants we're working with.
-What to Expect -
Event begins at 1:30pm with a shared meal, followed by crafts and storytelling.
