Tour on the Queerness of Trees by Ryan Godfrey

Ryan Godfrey

Botanist and Community Action Specialist at WWF-Canada

Tour Description

Trees (like all plants) are super queer! Their sexuality transcends categories like “male” and “female” and they have complex life histories and reproductive strategies. On this walk, let’s look at the some of the ways that trees thrive in (and contribute to) the urban ecosystem, puzzle out their evolutionary relationships and look at these towering creatures in a whole new light.
