The Leaflet eNewsletter May 2020
Dear Friends, As you know, park amenities and the conservatory at Allan Gardens are closed due to the COVID-19 emergency. City staff continue to provide care for the plants, turtles and fish inside the conservatory, and are working to maintain the grounds as well. We thank them for providing these essential services during this period of closure. We continue to look to City of Toronto Public Health directives to guide us through the coming months.
During these uncertain and unprecedented times, we are all in need of uplifting content and community connection. That is why our staff and volunteers are busy producing and curating innovative virtual programming that will bring the spirit of Allan Gardens to you at home. From families, at home gardeners to plant enthusiasts, we’re working on something for everyone. Read on for upcoming virtual events coming up in May, and check back with us often as our new programming evolves!
You’ll also notice that this issue of The Leaflet has a new look. In past issues we’ve talked about our new brand and website and we’re proud to say that it is now here. More details about the exciting new rebrand are below.
Stay tuned for our eNewsletters, and tune in to our updates on social media. You can reliably find us sharing news, virtual programming and photos on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
We will continue to adapt to the current circumstances and look forward to the day when we can meet again at the Gardens. In the meantime, stay home and stay safe.
Be well. We are all in this together.
